Before GOLDEN GIRLS, there was MAUDE!

And wasn't that a topical program for its day...

We grow old. As long as the characters we watched on TV are still around, we don't feel so old, even if they've greyed or gotten fat or what have you.

Bummer.

I was a kid when Maude was on--I didn't understand it's place until many years later.
