Is Fred Phelps the source of the Swine Flu?

Fred Phelps' Westboro Baptist Church recently left a blog post that has some wondering if the extremist group is planning a mass suicide (a la Jonestown). A little excerpt from the post (link goes to WBC blog) written in their typical hag-alect:

"We are particularly urgent about it, because the time is shortly to come when we will grant you your wicked wish, Doomed america! Your smart-assed pundits and foul-mouthed politicians have for years told us to pack up and leave if we don’t like this filthy little cancerous boil on the butt of the earth. You all think you’re so clever that you can come up with such cutesy little quips. You’re collectively so Bible dumb that you don’t know what you’re saying. So let me help you out.

"Look at the examples in scriptures when a nation – or world – of Godless rebels cry out at God’s patient Saints to get the hell out! Noah got on the ark and God shut the door – then the entire population of the world was wiped out. YAY!

I have been exposed to these 'people' at 7 different gay friends funerals.
If they did check out it would be no great loss to humanity.

Contrary to their deranged perception, THE LARAMIE PROJECT is a beautiful docu-drama play that details the all-too-true events surrounding the murder of Matthew Shepard in anti-gay hate crime in Laramie, Wyoming in 1998 (more info about this show included below).
Help us show these zanies that we are not intimidated by their hate-mongering -- come and enjoy THE LARAMIE PROJECT this weekend and be sure to sneer at the bigots along the way. Or counter-demonstrate against them outside our building at 255 Great Arrow Avenue.
Performances are this Saturday (April 25) at 8pm or Sunday (April 26) at 6pm. See below for more about the show. According to their website, the crazies will be protesting from 7pm-8pm this Saturday and from 5pm-6pm this Sunday.
