20. If I had my way
Every bully would be forced to choose either to go through what they put others through everyday for every day they bullied or get a bullet in the head.
If the bully was a psychopath I'd just put a bullet in their head and toss the corpse in the dumpster..That's how I feel about bullies.I friggin HATE them. Bullies cause so much suffering.Yet people TOLERATE them. Why ??? It's sickening to see the way people defend and rationalize the abuse that bullies CHOOSE to do.

15. Yes, how sad is it that we lost two 11 yo boys in the last few days
because they committed suicide over being bullied.

This is yet ANOTHER despicable legacy left on our nation by the bullying mentality of the */Darth administration.

Kids today have grown up knowing little else; they pattern their lives after the behavior of our leaders, especially with all the flag-waving-go-USA-only-a-patriot-if-you-think-like-us rhetoric thrown around by MSM during their formative years. We have a FUed bunch of kids coming along; many of them psychopaths created by example.

I fear for our future.:hide:

19. Bullycide is real
It is slow soul murder.Death by a million invisible wounds.

I tried to kill myself at age 8.Jumped off a roof, but I didn't think first, the land below was swampy and the roof was not high enough.I just twisted my knees out,and got covered in mud.

Why did I even try? Because it was August and I dreaded going to school.Another year of torment and people just ignoring and bystanding, and teachers pretending not to notice I was being stalked and cornered.
These bullies would never dare to fight me alone.

But When I realized nobody who could have done something about it,didn't bother to give a shit, even when I asked them for help..like the school says you should do..I had enough, in second grade, I stabbed a little fucker who was tormenting me for six months in the back with a fork, up to the end of the tines.

My guess is YOU are the one who got in trouble after the fork incident. What was the final outcome of that action for you & the bullies?

25. Outcome
Edited on Sun Apr-26-09 03:11 PM by undergroundpanther
It was an attempt at guilt tripping. The teacher and school nurse they took me in the office to watch the little asshole yell as they pulled the fork out.. but I didn't care about his pain at that point because of what he put me through, and I knew the teachers and cafeteria ladies and even the vice principal could have prevented it if they just told him to stop bullying me.I had lost my caring for these jerks welfare.
So I just stood there watching.I don't know what kind of response they expected but it must have been the wrong one So I got sent to a school shrink. I was soon sent to University of Maryland, which led to another round of horrors (like endless tests, bullshit like trying to force me to write right handed only and biofeedback training and other weird stuff)..But looking back I found it strange they never listened or took it seriously when I tried to tell them I was being tormented at school. They never asked about my home life,And I did not say anything either because I assumed everyone's parents were brutes because that is all I knew.

I used to get terrible stomach aches every night around those years. The pediatrician gave me Chloral Hydrate for it. I got a HUGE brown glass bottle of it every month and it was gone by the end.It did stop the terrible pain, tasted similar to cough syrup and it was pale green..And the UM kid shrink put me on ritalin. This was in the early 70's.

I find myself very lucky I never developed an addictive personality with some of the powerful drugs I was given as a kid. I and one other kid were the only kids taking ritalin at that time.
I used to cheek it and spit it out..if they looked in my mouth I put it behind a tonsil, spit it out later.

26. So, you were labeled for years as a "troubled youth", enduring more abuse
by adults. Right? While the "bully" got sympathy & band-aids & was sent on his merry way, validating in his mind that HE was a victim & underscoring that his actions were appropriate & acceptable, but your defending yourself was not (granted you did react in an extremely violent manner, which was also no more appropriate than their initial bullying....but you got nailed.)

I encounter many former bullies in the teaching profession. Some seem to be seeking revenge, others just continuing their desire for power over those weaker or less powerful than them. I suspect that is why so much bullying behavior is "overlooked" by authorities. I have called kids out for bullying & they have responded with disbelief & shallow arguments that what they were doing was innocent. This tells me that they have had a long history of "getting away" with this type of behavior.

29. getting away with it..
I definitely agree with you here Southerncrone:

I have called kids out for bullying & they have responded with disbelief & shallow arguments that what they were doing was innocent. This tells me that they have had a long history of "getting away" with this type of behavior.

One reason I think people defend bullies is from a desperate fantasy of wanting this world to be just. But reality this world is seldom just, and being kind and gentle gets you torn apart by the predatory personalities.

I usually endured it. I would show no reactions no tears I stared into the eyes. No submission either. I had a limit to what I could endure, and when that limit was crossed all hell broke loose.I seemed to endure around 6 to 8 months of everyday harassing, humiliation and blows until I'd begin to lose it.As I got older the fight response got turned inward more.
When I fought back ,I was usually already wounded and bleeding .My fists were aimed directly at the perpetrator/the most dominating one starting shit. I knew the lackeys and bully cheer club were not the real problem, their 'leader' was.
Luckily no bully would attack me by them self, apparently. So they came,in packs. And once their group leader was given a bitter dose of his own poison, they left me alone for a few days.
And this kind of abusive pattern would go on and on with different groups of assholes until I reached a breaking point and did something .

My mom had been trying to get me help out of that school for months. I told her I could not cope with it. I told her how the teacher sat there like a lump watching everything happening but did nothing to stop it.So after enduring stuff like having my lips smashed into my braces and heavy books pounded over my head and my artwork trashed, soap flakes thrown in my hair, for months, I asked my mom what I could do. She once had a good idea .She told me to destroy the room, smash everything you can. Than she would handle the school. The next day I went through the same old shit. But this time when I felt blood running down my chin,I saw a red puddle on my desk and I lost it.I picked up chairs ,tables and threw the scissors into the cork boards(I was a very good knife thrower)It was an art classroom. The other students were "evacuated".I kept trashing everything in sight up until I collapsed exhausted. Than I was escorted to the principal.

He lectured me and took the paddle off the wall shrine thing above his desk.He stood over me threatening to hit me with it.I looked at the floor and counted drops of blood as my mouth was still bleeding.
He didn't notice there was a puddle on the floor.
I told him, to go ahead and beat the shit out of me,It won't make any difference,I get hurt at home and by the assholes in this school worse than what that paddle can do. I just stared at the floor my hair was like a veil over my face . It seemed he was furious that I was indifferent to him. I was just exhausted and suicidal. But I didn't tell him or anyone that.

He called my mom up there. He was so self righteous talking to her about expelling me,it was disgusting . My mom told him that SHE told me to trash that classroom, since nobody seemed to notice what was happening .She asked why they noticed something is wrong in that class only when things get broken??
You could've heard a pin drop. He backpedaled, played innocent. The torment in that class stopped for around two weeks.
This shit went on from first grade to my first year of high school.
I don't have a clue how I lived through it. All I wanted was to be left alone. Sometimes my mom had my back, but too often she didn't know what to do,so she didn't do anything..And so they"got away with it".Unless I made sure they didn't.

24. I'm so sorry this happened to you
I was one of the lucky ones. The only reason I wasn't bullied is because I was taller than everyone. The only thing they got away with was calling me giraffe. I was always so sad when the teacher would line up the class, I was always the last because they went from short to tall and they would make fun of me. If I was a guy, it wouldn't have been bad but since I was a girl, well you know...girls aren't supposed to be taller than boys. After reading some DUers and what they went through, my problem paled in comparison. I did have one bright spot, one year my teacher did the opposite. She lined everyone up tallest to the shortest. :)

28. I understand
when my son was in 8th grade he was solemn and starting asking everyday if he could stay home... I didn't know it was bullies at the time- found out later, but knew somethingg was up and took him out of school before christmas break and homeschooled him until I could find another school that suited him. It made all the difference in the world for him. Sorry for your experience. I was teased in elementary school and learned early to be a loner.

27. Heartbreaking
I watched stories about both of these precious boys and broke down. I truly worry about my youngest grandson as he's already been bullied and he will turn 7 next month. First grade. He is very sensitive and has to wear glasses so he can see, let alone read. His mother is on top of things but I swear if it continues I will be making a trip to school personally and it won't be pretty.
