9. Exactly. And the "Independent Women's Forum" is another right-wing Potemkin organization
... with a name that belies its neoconservative mission. Like "The Federalist Society" and the "Heritage Foundation" and other benignly-labeled organizations, the right wing seems to tacitly admit they have to LIE in order to form such organizations.

SourceWatch, of course, says it like it is ...
The Independent Women's Forum (IWF) is an anti-feminist organization predominately funded by conservative U.S. foundations. On its website it describes its mission as being "to rebuild civil society by advancing economic liberty, personal responsibility, and political freedom. IWF builds support for a greater respect for limited government, equality under the law, property rights, free markets, strong families, and a powerful and effective national defense and foreign policy."<1>

An article by Sally Patel in IWF's "scholarly" magazine, The Women's Quarterly, stated that "the battered women's movement has outlived its useful beginnings."<[br />

3. She is as much an independent as I am.....
I agree with your statement....it is ridiculous for anyone to consider her anything but a republican. She voted for McCain over Obama. Haven't met to many indies that did that. I really think it has more to do with MSNBC not wanting to admit she is a republican analyst.

4. Of course not.. She's an attractive "woman of color"..(a two-fer)
she's articulate, and has mastered the ability to appear moderate..

All the media venues are scrambling to push their non-white employees out in front of the camera, so she's a perfect fit...Need someone to counter a democrat, but you can't quite bring yourself to ask Michelle Bachman ?...get the other Michelle B..... Got a wacko republican lined up, and can't find a liberal?..bring out Michelle B...

The names & faces of all the "usual suspects" who are at the ready to bash democrats...well, they are there ...all lined up & ready to roll.. we know them all by heart, from 9 long years of bashing Clinton, followed immediately by 8 long years of puffing up Bush.. The dems who are on the "invite" list are a more eclectic group, and are to be "used" sparingly..

The norm , these days, is.....host/right wing screaming head/"moderate"...and maybe a Pat Buchanan (network-flunkie-commentator)..

People like Mike Smerconish are now considered moderate/left-leaning..

6. She's cute though.
Is cute condescending? I call men and women cute, and rarely "handsome" or "beautiful."

Dunno...

I suppose some would say is sexist to point out that she is cute, but in as a rebuttal I point out that if Daniel Craig was a commentator on MSNBC I'd be observing that he is cute as well! :D
