1. Saw that. He's a bald-faced, lying sadist. Despicable.
:grr: :puke:

5. He's vision-impaired ... and has a son in the USMC in Iraq.

I've NEVER bought into the idea that having a relative -- even a son or daughter -- in the military was some sort of substitute for personal experience. Such claims annoy me. He's a chickenhawk no matter what his son does.

He's also a silver-spooned kid from an affluent family ... and went to boarding school. (Funny how so many of the very affluent can't even tolerate having their kids live with them in their late teens.)

6. Well at least I will give him credit for the son in the USMC
he is doing much better than must chickenhaws

But nothing replaces the real fear, the seconds of unrelenting panic... that you cannot splain until you actually experience them

7. ... not to mention the almost unnoticed warm feeling
... of urine spreading in the crotch and down the legs. :scared:

8. I actually avoided that
perhaps wasn't afraid enough

But oh the hand shaking... for many, many, many long minutes

9. No doubt the son joined the Marines to get away from his father.
I know I would if that old fool was my father. I'd be too embarassed to show my face in public.

4. I enjoyed the way Chris just kind of "dismissed" him... didn't argue with him... didn't
raise his voice... didn't interrupt. He just let the old fart make a total fool of himself while we all watched. I love when Chris does that.

10. What Bond failed to mention
is, that our pilots, special forces, Marines, who are water boarded are given a taste of what it means. At least in my son's experience (SERE "school") the person being waterboarded is given the option of stopping the "advanced interrogation technique". (you move your feet). I don't think the CIA gave their prisoners that option. So, his argument that we do this to our own doesn't really, well, hold water.
