ALARM!! -- checking body temperatures of arriving passengers in Japan

8. LOL what if some poor older woman going thru menopause had a hot flash?!
that reminds me of the walmart exit door, you know you paid for all your items, but still sometimes that stupid alarm goes off anyway.....can instill paranoia.....

10. All they have to do is take their temp the conventional way if they
set off the alarm. I'm pretty sure hot flashes don't affect core body temp.

11. That's correct.
When I was in the throes of hot flashes, I asked a physician friend of mine, and she said that hot flashes don't affect core body temp.

9. Japan always reacts to any threat or potential health threat.
I don't blame them. Lots and lots of people in a relatively small area, at least in the cities.

I remember they did tests at the airport after the bird flu was discovered.
