Back around 1996 a lady I worked with at the time brought in a flyer that was handed out at her church that said gay men were hoping to do research and find a way to reproduce without women and then they would eliminate women from the earth. She was all torn up about the prospect. I just couldn't get my brain around someone believing something like that. It wasn't like she had no education. Pretty sad. Looking back the great irony is that I would almost believe that Christian Fundy men wanted to eliminate women from the earth, just by their attitudes toward us. They must have been projecting a bit in that flyer they handed out.

A relatively high proportion of child abuse is otherwise straight men abusing boys, so if you categorise anyone who does that as homo/bisexual then yes, the proportion of child abusers who are "gay" or "bisexual" in *that* sense is much higher than in the general populace.

The reason anti-gay-rights protesters want to look at correlation between sexuality and child abuse is that they want to demonstrate that there is a correlation between sexual attraction to consenting adult members of the same sex and child abuse.
