Here we are 100 days into the new administration of Barack Obama, and Darth Vader is still wandering around grumbling about why the new administration is all wrong.

There is the possibility that Obama demanded that Bush NOT pardon Cheney and keep his mouth shut in exchange for directing the investigations at Cheney eventually (who probably is the originator of most of the trouble anyhow)


But you must also weigh in the semi-tradition that former Presidents generally do not speak ill of sitting Presidents regardless of party. Clinton was typically absurdly kind to 'W' for no particular reason and even though Carter held positions significantly to the left of Clinton he tended to talk very strictly about policy and not about 'W' or any of the officials by name.
