The Day the Filibuster Died....
Edited on Tue Apr-28-09 11:49 AM by catnhatnh
...28 April 09. The filibuster is almost an exclusive party line device. Arlen, as a born again Democrat can vote exactly as he always has except he CANNOT support a filibuster-there is no national issue on which he can now aid a republican filibuster and survive politically. The republicans targeted him and now they will pay the price. Welcome Senator Specter!

No Edit-just checked spelling of "filibuster" because two L's looked good also...

1. This is newworthy since the fillibuster has been constantly abused since January
(no, not really)

The Democrats just lost an excuse for putting forth valuable legislation. Ill be more moved if they don't come up with a new one.
