1. Not.Gonna.Happen.
He is a power hungry shite. He'd rather be a thorn in the majority. What are they going to offer him? Support from the RNC. In addition, I don't think the voters in CT would be amused.

14. I know people who voted for him there
mostly because they felt he had a decent record on social issues.

Their buyers' remorse has been both extreme and profane.

2. Um, no he won't
He's not "anti-Democratic", he's "Pro-Lieberman" and the Democrats are the only game in today right now.

Thus, he would never consider it.

5. No Way In Hell, He's Too Self Serving
Dems are in power for the foreseeable future, why would he jump onto a sinking ship? Whatever Lieberman is, he's not THAT stoopid.

6. No, no, no. He'll lose his chairmanships
He had to kiss ass to get them, too.

If he switches, he'll be just a "backbencher".

Joe likes his power. He'll keep it.

7. Lieberman is an opportunist.
He won't switch because there is nothing in it for him.

8. They've got nothing to give, and being a hero to them doesn't pay Joe's bills.

9. Of course he won't. Don't be dumb.
He'd lose his chairmanships, his in-party seniority, and his donors. Once the GOP got him, they'd quickly hate him and hate him brutally; he votes with the Dems on every single issue of taxation, social spending, and social justice.

Why would he sign his own death sentence like that?

10. when the deals start flying, I'd guess he'd flip back
ok maybe he wont flip, but some "moderate" repukes will be tempted by deals and come over to the Dem side.
