Q: Are campaign contribs refundable by law?

If a candidate on the national level makes a major change in his/her philosophical perspective
is that candidate required by law to refund donations to anyone who may make that request?

Just curious. If I were Specter I would tell them all to piss off regardless.

2. Fraud is illegal. So if Specter weren't returning donations...

...to people who request them, then those donors could sue claiming they were defrauded by thinking they were helping keep a seat for the Republicans.

I just called the campaign and said I wanted a refund and they mailed me a check.
