which may or may not be a figment of his imagination. If Indiana Dems suddenly surged left, he might be in the same spot Specter is in in PA. That's my sense.
He's a pragmatic politician with absolutely no core values. He figured out a long time ago that to win in Indiana he would have to tack right. His father was one of the most liberal, pro-labor Senators of his era and Evan saw him lose to Dan Fucking Quayle. He doesn't want to be a rockstar, he wants to be in power. The majority has power. End of story.
