5. They will spin this as the act of a desperate man who wants to remain a DC insider
Edited on Tue Apr-28-09 06:31 PM by OmahaBlueDog
...a man who has lost his way...lost his principles..lost his grounding in all that decent Pennsylvanians value (like conservative judges and torture). Also culpable: the liberal media and special interest groups. The fact that Obama is to blame goes without saying.

Their 2010 strategy will be to paint Rep. Pat Toomey as a check on unbridled Democratic power, and will cast the entire Republican campaign as "Joe the Plumber's vote of no confidence in Obama, the Stimulus, and big government. With a new 1994, the GOP can immediately put on the brakes and start impeachment proceedings to set the course right! This is a new tea party. A new revolution. .... dare I day it... a new Lexington and Fort Sumter....er, I mean Concord"

Who is really to blame? Let me answer a question with a question: if your party had their asses handed to them for two straight elections, and was now suffering key defections, would you let your House and Senate minority leaders keep their jobs?

edited because decent Californians raised me to know how to spell plumber

14. OK, CW, now you've gone too far
...because, by box-turtle, you are clearly using a "code word" for Terrapin. You are suggesting the morally abhorrent concept that Penn State Nittany Lions marry...Maryland Terrapins. That Big 10 marries ACC. That is beyond sick...that is depraved. Wake up...read your Bible.

I don't know how you live with the shame when you look in the mirror.

21. Why do hate Maryland and turtles?
WTF is wrong with you? Why would you ever subject a turtle to Rick Santorum and his fecal matter?

:wtf:

10. ColbertWatcher, they blamed his inability to raise money to fight his opponent in 2010.
He was having trouble raising the $30 M he needed to oppose his Republican adversary, but if you heard the guy on Howard Stern three weeks ago, you heard an angry man who had moderate views. It was really fascinating.

The Repukes are saying his move was not based on principles, but I think in a way it was.

Definitely.

But we'll see. Maybe I'm being overly optimistic. I don't know.
