but saw the beginning of Countdown, and thought "Is this Brian Williams' first time appearing on Countdown?" I mean, I think the NYC thing was very shitty, but I find it strange that this is what finally gets him on Countdown, if it indeed is the first time. He seems like the type who would bitch about MSNBC going too much to the "left".

8. Keith seemed to imply that it was.
He said that Williams prides himself on avoiding political commentary.

10. And yet he said that he listened to Limbaugh regularly?
I wouldn't call that politically ambiguous.

I don't know...Williams can come off as smarmy sometimes, but he doesn't bother me really.

18. I do
I've been listening to Rush since the mid-90s, whenever I can.

It's sort of like watching a train wreck - over and over and over again.

But I find it useful for predicting the "talking points" for the day. Of course, the logic makes no sense at all, but it's interesting to see how their minds work.

6. Last time I saw him he ditched his "tanning salon" look. No
white spaces around his eyes for the glasses. I haven't watched network news or PBS News since Bush stole the election...so I wouldn't know. Only used to see Brian (the tanned) in appearances on MSNBC with Russert or something.

Whatever...I hope someone posts it here in the DU Videos if it's worthwhile watching.

14. Keith needs to ask him
Now do you have just an inkling as to how the Iraqi people might feel?

The NYC attack was horrific, it was a terrible tragedy but it was one day.

Imagine how the Iraqis live, their PTSD, how many days, months, years and how many attacks?

16. Isn't he capable of being mad about multiple things like the rest of us?
I never heard him support torture or the Iraq war.
