I disagree with the notion of Specter getting seniority
It really bugs me. Imagine quitting one job and going to another and demanding seniority there? I don't think so. It's first come first served bubba.

Pisses me off. Could even end up being worse for us than if he had stayed a pub, if he really gets some power in the wrong place.

2. If an associate professor goes to a different institute he/she usually keeps the position
or becomes a full professor even. If you want someone you have to usually make it worthwhile for them.
