Anyone else listen to Fresh Air today (Wednesday)?

It seems now that the Chinese Communists did not brainwash or torture American POWs, they subjected them to "harsh interrogation methods". Also, the head of the CIA, George Tenet had no idea that US servicemen were being water boarded in training because someone wanted them to be able to withstand torture, nor did he realize that the Chinese had used the "harsh interrogation methods" to elicit false confessions!

I learned about water boarding from Amnesty International 20 years ago!


BTW - the program of water boarding our own servicemen dates back to the 50's. That was the same era that saw US servicemen exposed to nuclear explosions to train them for the battlefields of the future!

3. Apparently the Chinese were using these techniques to elicit FALSE

confessions -- Our people were schooled in the techniques to prepare them to stand up against this treatment -- and like the new swine flu, somehow this evolved into our guys using this torture to elicit "truth" from others.

The guy Terri was interviewing seemed amazed that almost no one using "enhanced interrogation techniques" now has ANY IDEA of their twisted history.
