Woman accused of beating neighbor to death
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A 32-year-old woman is in police custody, accused of setting fire to her own house and then beating her neighbor to death.

Mega Lewis is currently being interviewed by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department homicide detectives.

Police say Lewis set fire to her home on Elgywood Lane in northeast Charlotte early Wednesday morning, and then went to her neighbor's house for help.

Charlotte firefighters arrived on the scene at about 4:42 a.m. The arson task force determined that the fire was intentionally set and went to Elizabeth Anderson's home to interview Lewis.
