1. Well Lerk...most of us can actually get his historical and literary references...
If only he foresaw this little fact 10 years ago...

10. Beautiful
I hate Dennis Miller's politics, but remembering the whole rap he used to do on his neighbor, "Thor, the Human Jackhammer" still makes me laugh.

Imagine what a disconnect it was for him to discover that his new target audience thinks fart jokes are tres intellectual.

11. We wrote four or five different sets for Doug depending
on if he was playing in a peanut bar in deep red country or at a political event here in town or to tourists and so on.

I can't imagine how punishing it would be to play to the fart joke lovers for a living. At that point, why bother speaking at all when bodily sounds and excretions would do just as well? lol

17. Four or five different sets? OMG.
I love Kathy Griffin, but I can't imagine how much time she must spend writing. The thing she does about her mom and the swearing -- I was laughing so hard I couldn't breathe.

And you've just described Larry the Cable Guy's entire career. :eyes:

7. You threw me for a second when you gave him the adjective "comedian."
I get who you're talking about now. That Dennis Miller guy. Once on SNL. Got it.

8. Miller's explanation of his switch.
Well what can I tell ya', it's all very Norman Malier in a Kafka sort of way. I feel like I'm the Great Gatzby in a Rogers and Hammerstein version of a Penn & Teller magic show. You know it's kind of like...."

13. Considering where he keeps that finger, I hope he washed it before licking it.
