Let's get this straight, Specter is a craven political opportunist for leaving the Republican party
but serving Senators who left the Democratic party such as Richard Shelby, Ben Nighthorse Campbell, and Joe Lieberman are men of courage, motivated solely by principle.
How fucking stupid do they think we are?

5. Not the point. The MSM has endorsed the "Specter the Defector" meme ...
while atttributing honorable motives in the past to Democratic legislators who left our party.

6. That liberal media sure beats up on liberals a lot, doesn't it?
And always to their detriment, it seems...yet another thing promoted by the right that just doesn't add up...

7. They aren't talking to us.
They're talking to their base which is fucking stupid.

Whenever I may feel sorry for myself, I just think "I could be a Republican." and feel much better.

10. Specter is a courageous politician who was way too liberal for the GOP.
He should have beed a Democrat decades ago. He has been a valuable asset to Pennsylvania even as a Republican and I have no doubt this will continue to be the case not that he is a mamber of the only good party in this country. He may also be merely the first of several moderate/liberal 'pubers to see the light.

The republicans HATED him, which means he must have some good qualities - let's at least treat him decently.
