Limbaugh welcomed a new sponsor today.

Carbonite.com ... an online data storage service where you can back up you PC's hard drive and save other valuable data as well.

Limbaugh raved on extemporaneously for three minutes or more on what great people they are and how fine their product is.

So I thought I would see what Carbonite was all about. It didn't take me long to see Limbaugh and Carbonite are a match made in heaven.

User reviews: http://download.cnet.com/Carbonite-Online-Backup/3640-2242_4-10894066.html?tag=uo;uo

All the recent reviews of Carbonite are the lowest ratings that can be given by users who have subscribed to their service.

Some of the remarks ...

Had to reinstall 5 times. It stinks ! ..... The restore process is HORRIBLE!!! Froze several times still frozen as we speak and the online
help is a joke. Then if you need help they want $20 for phone support. ..... Sent logs 4 times & it has been 5 days since last tech spromised
it would only be 24 hrs to get back to me. There's no phone support, just email and Live-chat & then they hang up on you many times.

Apparently Carbonite requires their customers to pay for support for their product and it turns out Customer Service is non-existent.

So it looks like as far as attracting advertisers goes, Limbaugh is scraping the bottom of the barrel in who his hatefest can attract to sponsor

his little show. If this is the best they can do I get the impression the end is in sight for RW Hate Radio and the conservative movement as well.

Here's a link to Carbonite if you'd care to express your thoughts of their sponsorship of the OxyRush Hatefest Hour.

22. and hopefully his listeners will buy the product.
They'll go through all the grief but still believe it's a great product because their fearless leader says so.

... on the Truthiness Encyclopedia for sponsors. http://www.wikiality.com/Rush_Limbaugh#Sponsors_Of_Rush.27s_Radio_Program.21

Everyone can add links, names as they become known.

(It will be easy to make a section for FOX, too)

10. That sounds like a good idea.

You might want to just call it 'Regular Limbaugh Sponsors' or something like that and with hold any commentary to avoid any liability.

I can tune in for a few minutes at a time (before I lose my lunch) and contrib a few names now and then.

13. One more thing ...
... as far as commentary goes, I don't mind it at all; the whole site is satire, so I doubt there's a problem if commentary is posted.

But, I'd prefer no links; I don't want to give those assholes anything (links or otherwise!)

14. Sounds like a plan to me.

I've seen other lists of OxyRush sponsors but I don't think they were up to date. I will only post what I actually hear so as to keep it current.

I think Larry Ingraham has been shilling for them on her show, too.

9. More importantly...
If you knew that anyone that you connected with -- including your ISP -- was spying on your computer's hard drive, you'd be upset, right?

So here they say, we'll just take a copy of everything...

Just heard Qwest advertising that sort of thing, too.

Oh yes, just copy and examine at your leisure everything I've ever saved.

7. I have had Carbonite for a couple of years and never had to pay for support
I have used the support live chat and once I had emailed and a Carbonite tech called me later that day and helped me with my problem. They also sponsor Leo the Tech Guy on KFI in Los Angeles. After my last PC crashed I decided to get an online backup.

Since I'm swiching to iMac I'll probably drop Carbonite and use Time Machine with a backup drive.

12. Apple has the online backup, too, with a mac.com account. I never use it, just Time Machine.
Remember that Apple has great support chat rooms and tutorials and before you call the tech folks. I've heard a few complaints about setting up Time Machine, but most people are very satisfied with it.

Just sayin'. A lot of these advertisers sponsor all different kinds of radio shows and the hosts plug their products.

20. the idea of online data storage scares the hell out of me. I'll stick with external hard drives
and fire safes for my delicate information, not send it off to somewhere out there

21. To be perfectly honest
I usually discount these types of reviews. There is a whole legion of losers who troll around the Internet writing horrible reviews about everything.

I was looking for the phone number of my favorite Chinese restaurant the other day and came on a restaurant site that had reviews. There were three or four reviews saying the restaurant was dirty (not at all true), the service sucked (never ever had a bad experience) and that the food was nothing more than pig slop. Another lie. I am very very fussy about food in general and Chinese food in particular. This is a great restaurant and everyone I know who goes there loves it.

25. Limbaugh cut Carbonlite a special deal for advertising in exchange for...
Giving him FREE access to what everyone stores online.

Their "minor" glitches have come from Limbaugh, giving Karl Rove his FREE access to the data backups. When Limbaugh's FREE access is run in parallel with Dick Cheney's ongoing NSA data mining / shadow government operation, it tends to freeze things up.
