The crap that passes for 'journalism' these days!
KC police use Taser to apprehend nude man

Kansas City police this morning used a Taser gun on a nude man after he apparently fled the scene of an overturned car just east of Bruce R. Watkins Parkway.

Police answered a call about an overturned vehicle in a creek bed in the 5900 block of Agnes Avenue about 9 a.m.

A man reportedly was seen running from the accident. He was eventually chased to the 5800 block of Chestnut where a Taser was used to stop the man.

It was unclear this afternoon whether the man had been driving the car or why he might have been running from the scene.

Gee, I guess being NUDE had nothing to do with why he was running?!

1. How is the reporter supposed to know why he ran?
I don't understand your point.

He may have been driving a stolen car. Who knows?

Do you expect the reporter to just make stuff up or make assumptions?

2. What's the 'journalism' problem? It's a weird story but I don't find
the report to be especially poorly done...
(I have a suspicion the link has changed since you saw it)

5. The facts in your OP are different from the story on your cite...
Seems like the story was fairly simple in the KC story posted at 3:53PM. The guy was being chased because he left the scene - from an ambulance where he was being treated. When cornered, the 6' 5", 200 pound man began growling. If I were the cop I would have reached for the Taser too. The journalism does not look too bad to me.

6. What I thought was odd
was at the end where the story said the cops didn't know why he ran. And since he was naked, I thought it was rather obvious.

Then they edited the story.
