I'm watching it now and wow, it's ick. Who edited this thing? This is the worst 60 minutes piece I think I've ever seen.

2. Bob Gates. It was gushy and the 'hard hitting' questions were predictable
and amateurish.

4. This description sounds like Katy to me.
Can't watch Ms.C since she hopped up on her desk after her first nightly news show and crossed her legs. She set women back 50 years right there.

3. I watched cartoons instead.
And I'm quite old, but I do enjoy Family Guy, American Dad, King of the Hill. There's just something about them that makes me smile.

14. I've said for years that I learn more about national affairs
from "The Simpsons" than I ever did from the nightly news.

Couric is a lightweight. She's fine for morning coffee. She's not ready for prime time and the network knew it.

5. She lost me before and after the Palin interview
That was her finest hour.

16. Katy just couldn't pitch slow enough for someone unable to hit a t-ball.
 It wasn't Katy's "finest hour" as much as it betrayed the abysmal ineptitude of Palin.

17. She lost me when she had Limbaugh on "the news" -- that was offensive.
On her fucking "Free Speech" segment--in her first week on the air--like he doesn't have any opportunity to bloviate.

A reminder, for those who forgot: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bom-8p7L0Qk

8. I listened to most of it on the radio, and it was...
pretty good when you're not distracted by watching or general hatred of Couric. It's an interview, ferchrissakes, not an interrogation.

I'm not sure what everyone was expecting-- should she have just argued with him?

10. I liked seeing Gates interviewed. It doesn't happen often.
I also enjoyed the licks he got in concerning the atmosphere in DC and how intolerable it is.

That is no choice at all. Breaking Bad to win.

Quirky, but good.
