Rachel is still covering Operation Rescue terrorism and Dr. Tiller's assassination.
I am happy that she is refusing to let this go, while other MSM pundits have moved on. She just had a guest on-her name escapes me, Princeton Professor-who said by nature of Operation Rescue's rhetoric, they are not pro-life but create an environment of fear in terrorism amongst its members and its victims.

Thank you Rachel for not letting it go! :toast:

2. Thank you for posting this. I was just about to.
Rachel deserves a HUGE amount of credit for sticking with this.
One would think she is the only true female journalist on TV.
I have daughters and maybe some day grandkids. I want all options open and available to my kids and all daughters.
GO RACHEL!

3. Good for her.
Rachel needs to do a segment every night on women's issues. No one else is bothering and Rach is obviously perfectly positioned to be the one.

I can give her a start list:
The well over 200,000 rape kits still not tested even though federal funds were provided.

The fact that women convicted of the same crimes as men receive longer sentences.

The fact that women convicted of crimes serve a way longer percentage of their sentence.

The disproportionate impact of the bad economy on single mothers.

Continued disparity of equal pay for equal work.

Resurgence of the use of illegal BFOQs.

Impact of tightened budgets on Title IX.

Dearth of women in the board rooms.

etc. etc. etc.

5. hmm
I have always read women got lighter sentences then men for the same crime

Women Who Kill Their Batterers Receive Longer Prison Sentences than Men Who Kill Their Partners

This factoid is often attributed to someone from Pace University. There is no actual published source for this. According to the Bureau of Justice Statistics, Violence Between Intimates (November, 1994), the average prison sentence for men who killed their wives was 17.5 years; the average sentence for women convicted of killing their husbands was 6.2 years

Page 3 it says in bold...women generally recieved lesser sentences and served less time than males.

Where you getting your info? I have always been curious on these type of stats

7. A couple of years ago Vanity Fair had a detailed article on sentences/sentences served.
I tried a few weeks ago to find that article online but could not locate it. It was a real eye-opener and seemed very well researched.
