Negatively, instead I will see it as a reminder to check my own actions, knowing that I like all people, sometimes do bad, and sometimes do good, and will continue to hope I do more good then bad. And I will continue to recognize my failings, so I can improve both in my own life, and my view of other peoples lives.
The rest of your comments I agree with. Secrecy in the intent of what you try to do, is only needed if your actions would not be approved by most people. If you believe people are more good then bad, then secrecy to hide an intent can only be seen as bad. If it is true that it is not bad, and people are deluded and can not see it, then instead of hiding actions, a person should educate people as to why it is not bad. In my belief then good ideas will rise to the top as bad ideas sink away.
And there are many forms of secrecy.
People can hide their own actions from themselves through willful ignorance, or not allowing themselves to hear and think on other opinions.
Complexity can keep people from seeing what is going on to keep a rational for not looking at the reality of it.
False pride in a group or nation can make a person refuse to look at the actions of that group or nation.
And many other ways people hide items with social implications that they know others would not agree with.
