Let's See what's in the Arizona Republic "Letter to the Editor" section!
*Flips open paper to editorials*

" 'Obama's Sympathies With Muslims'

President Obama's bypassing of Israel by going to the Muslim world makes it obvious his sympathies are more directed to the latter. His failure to mention how the United States has helped Muslim countries time and time again also is quite revealing.
I am afraid we are in for a very long four-year presidential term and hopefully that will be the end of his presidency.

-Don Milligan, Tucson"

" 'Some People Need Big Trucks'

Mr. President, I heard about your directive that all cars and light trucks have a 35 mpg standard by 2016, and I have a question. I have a 7,000 pound boat and trailer that I haul. How is a truck with a small enough engine to meet these standards going to tow this much weight? Also, I have friends who are welders and mechanics. How will they carry tools and equipment?

-Daniel Grabowski, Sun Lakes"

Okay, I am TIRED of the absolute stupidity in this country. I don't know how people are in other states, but in Arizona it seems like half the population is spending the majority of the day with their heads up their asses.

Dear Don,

Are you implying that Muslims don't deserve our attention or sympathies? Do you know how much positive fucking media attention the Israeli government gets by the US government and media on a regular basis? I think it's about time a president went to one of the most populous places on earth to let them know that we do actually give a shit about making peace and helping people. It's a fresh change from the last president who only went their to suck off the oil barons. So I encourage you to eat a pile of shit because Obama is going to be around for a while. I'd say about 8 more years.

Love Mike.

Dear Daniel,

I know this is a hard fucking concept to learn, but the desire for us to become energy independent and the absolute need to stop destroying our environment means that mpg standards come before your big fucking POS boat. Here's a fucking idea...buy a smaller boat! I am sick and tired of seeing upper-middle class families hauling ass down the highway in their lifted Ford Excursions towing a fucking cigarette boat behind them. And did you fail to remember that you said "light trucks"??? I'm sure Obama isn't planning on making it impossible for your little buddies to haul their tools around. I'm so glad that all you give a shit about is whether or not your family can make it up to the lake while also having the ability to float a small house on the water. By an aluminum fishing boat and shut the fuck up.

Love Mike.

RANT OFF.

Sorry guys, but this shit is driving me INSANE. I tried to cut down on the F-bombs.

1. F Bombs are a necessity when talking about fucktards.
It's like talking about the oceans without talking about water, or talking about storms without mentioning rain. You talk about the terminally stupid and F bombs just come up. It's a bit like spontaneous, involuntary regurgitation.

3. HA!
I don't mean to laugh but I identify with the frustration you feel when reading the deep thoughts some of our fellow citizens have.

:toast:

BTW, you could have reminded Don that Obama DID mention how we HELPED Iran get rid of their democratically elected leader (Mosaddeq) and HELPED them institute the Shah.

...What a dipshit

10. I'd be surprised if that happened.
It's the only newspaper in the Phoenix area now.
The AZ Rep sucks but it would be a shame to not have any newspaper in a major city.

9. It's like a fucking circus in there.
Sometimes a liberal gets a letter in. But most of the time it's conservative jackasses.

11. McCain country
In this tiny corner of AZ, a huge chunk of the residents are at least as old as McCan't himself.

In the corner opposite us is Colorado City... 'nuff said about the people who live in AZ.

But that's because they are college towns.

12. It gets harder and harder to read the AZ Rep and
not bang my head on the wall from the stupidity found within it.

***
This one from today's paper was a dilly:

"We were lucky enough to recently get tickets in Las Vegas to see Bette Midler, an entertainer we have always enjoyed. During the show, Midler took the opportunity to say very nasty things about Rush Limbaugh, Dick Cheney and Sarah Palin - twice.

The comments and name-calling were totally out of context, were not related to the show and left us with a greatly diminished opinion of Midler.

Why is it that liberals, particularly the Hollywood elitists, use every public venue to spout their vitriol and hate about people with whom they disagree?"- Terry Gustafso
***

...'cause gee whiz, the RW NEVER spews hatred and vitriol!

14. Daniel's whining about not being able to tow his 7,000 lb. boat
Edited on Sat Jun-06-09 04:10 PM by Batgirl
is curious indeed, since cars and light trucks, aren't intended to pull that much weight in the first place:

"A typical sedan can tow a load--say a small boat on a trailer--weighing about 1,000 lb (450 kg), while larger cars and minivans can offer 3,500 lb or so. Light pickup trucks and SUVs may even tow more--even in the 5,000 lb."
http://www.cartest.ca/factors_that_affect_towing_c.htm

It's so sad we have no way of contacting Daniel and reassuring him Obama's evil attempts at reducing national gas consumption won't actually have any affect whatsoever on his boat-towing activities.

16. This one's for Daniel and his 7000 pound boat
Dan, get your ass down to the local DMV, get a Class B CDL, and tow that monster with a small medium-duty truck like...oh, how about a Ford F-550? If you're pulling that shit with a half-ton, you're a danger to everyone around you.

18. I know that and you know that...
but I figure if this guy's going to be an absolute pig like that, let's get him a driver's license that will really fuck with his life...starting with the BAC for DWI being halved from .08 to .04.

Oh, and he needs to keep a driver's logbook every time he goes fishing.
