..... the Enron pillaging of California AND I'M FUMING !!! I want to reach thru the screen and strangle the mega-nerd traders bragging about shutting down parts of the California power grid to create fake energy shortages. ...... And future Gov. Gropenfuhrer sitting there with a Chesshire Cat grin, knowing that Gray Davis was being set up so his sorry ass could get in office.

:argh: ..... and I'm not even a Californian.

2. Yea, I saw it when it came out absolutely criminal.
But the Enron Ceo's and other criminals didn't just destroy markets they destroyed the employees that worked for them. I have a friend that never really recovered from the devastation that the company she worked for was just a lie.

3. The only thing that was "funny" about that whole debacle were the tears
that streamed down Darryl Issa's cheeks when he realized that fucking Arnold was gonna eat his ice cream, and there was nothing he could do about it.

Joseph Graham Davis was screwed, no doubt. California's loss is corporate law's gain.

4. Don't forget the GOP-controlled media's role in this scam.
When it came time for people to become informed voters, the GOP-controlled media couldn't muster the attention span it spends on pretend scandals like Obama's birth certificate.

6. Yep, and people blame Californians for the circus...
the porn star that ran, Gary Coleman, etc. but the media are the ones who created that circus, helped distract from the real issues, and therefore helped Arnold not seem so crazy in comparison to the other kooks who ran.

5. The good governor
so screwed Gray Davis, and let's not forget the role Darrell Issa played in setting up the eventual placement of Schwarzenegger in that office.

A true outrage. I couldn't believe it when it was happening, and now those fuckers have driven the state right into the ground.

Well done, you pricks...............

16. yep, that is a fact that people aren't even mentioning today...
California used to be one of the largest exporters of energy before that crime. We went from large exporter to having to import energy from Mexico and Canada.

Many factors have lead to our current crisis, but the energy scam cost us a good deal of infrastructure.

That film depressed me for several days afterward.

Are any of those heartless traders in jail?

10. We knew
I lived in CA during that time. I was in San Jose for a few years, then Berkeley from 2000-2002, during the time of the rolling brown outs. We knew what was up. There was even a commercial at that time featuring a couple Texas energy tycoons laughing at ripping off California... I knew every time the news announced a brown out that it had been created for the profit of execs in Texas, only later did I hear the name Enron.

I saw that movie. I got agitated, too. Smartest guys in the room, my ass.

12. Same dark forces that have Enronized the entire economy, have taken hold of all of us.
Edited on Mon Jun-08-09 12:36 AM by truedelphi
The 550 Trillion that is needed to keep the finanicial isnittutions happy (Or else make good their threats about letting the economy slip into the Drk Ages) are simply following the game book set out by the top Enron players.

Only difference is that while Californians pay on average about $ 60 a month for the privilege of the long slow screw by Enron, the Obama, Geithner, Bernanke crowd has stuck it to us for upwards of $ 25K per every man woman and child in America.
