17 bodies now retrieved from Air France crash site
News to me. I want those black boxes found to determine what happened. And RIP, for everyone on their final flight.

A Brazilian military official also says radar-equipped craft have found 'greater parts of the plane's body' below the surface.

Reporting from Paris -- More bodies and debris were found Sunday near where an Air France jetliner with 228 people on board crashed into the Atlantic last week, according to reports from Brazilian and French military officials.

A Brazilian air force official confirmed that 17 bodies have been retrieved so far from the Atlantic Ocean in the area where Air France Flight 447 is believed to have crashed on June 1. He added that Brazilian radar-equipped planes had also found "greater parts of the plane's body" below the surface.

The bodies, aboard French and Brazilian vessels, were being sent to the Brazilian mainland for examination and identification, he said. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak on the matter.

1. This incident makes me wonder about the "nuts" who speculate
about the possibolity there was a bomb on board. Mere coincidence?

2. I've seen that article. Living with a man who
works for an airline, I have other questions. And ftr, he doesn't think it was a bomb, but is less sure since the story changed.

Why did bodies float up-they weren't wearing their seatbelts? I posited they were in the bathroom, but not 17 of them? I don't know. I spend too much time flying to scare myself. And this one is bizarre.

I want to find out.

3. Is there any statement that the recovered bodies weren't in seats?
The seats float.

6. Out of 200+ people on a flight, I suspect a good number of them are
unbelted at any one time. And both bodies and belts are likely to become disassembled on impact...

4. Yes. Mere coincidence.
People involved in stuff are probably on every single flight that leaves an airport. There's a lot of stuff going on.
