Police Call Case 'Kind of Messed Up'
SHAWNEE, Kan. – A traveling salesman from California faces charges in a bizarre case involving a drunken Shawnee man and his wife.

The salesman, identified as Alexander Gavlitta, 21, of Fresno, told police the drunken man invited him into his home in the 12800 block of West 51st Street on Monday only to pull a gun and demand he have sex with him.

Gavlitta says the drunk man passed out, so he picked up the gun.

That’s when police say the passed out man’s wife came home and Gavlitta ordered her around with the gun, leaving with the gun, credit cards and jewelry.

Gavlitta now faces charges in Johnson County Court of kidnapping, felony theft, criminal damage to property and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Investigators were conducting DNA tests Thursday to determine if the husband would be charged with a sex act.

Capt. Bill Hisle, a spokesman for the Shawnee Police Department, called the case "kind of messed up."

4. No...but I did tonight!
Congratulations!!! "Instead of closing...should be cloning" Excellent!

I'll never understand it...$720 million a day in Iraq but we are closing schools in this country...

Sometimes I think we, as a nation, are witnessing the beginning of our Götterdämmerung.

5. Our Gotterdammerung started long before this, I think.
Was it in 1988, when the Democratic Leadership turned a blind eye to the Iran-Contra High Treason and let the Bushies off scot-free?

Was it the 1980 October Surprise that lead to the installment of the First Bush Imperium?

Was it when the Bushies and their pals (most likely) killed the Kennedy Brothers and MLK?

Or did it go back all the way to 1935, when the seeds of our future doom were planted even as the USA's greatest days were still ahead, by what I consider to be FDRs greatest mistake, which we are still paying for today?

What was that mistake? Letting the Bushies off scot-free from an even more heinous and direct form of High Treason than they have practiced since (who says Bushies don't learn from their mistakes)?

6. I was on again tonight?
Damn. My 15 minutes is about up. LOL

Seriously, my favorite part was little Edwin. He's in 1st grade and he wrote a speech and read it in front of that big group of people. We were so proud of him we about busted. It's a thankless job but once in awhile, we get a big reward, like Edwin giving a speech. :)

7. I'm sorry. I was referring to the clip.
I didn't see you on TV the night before last, but watched the clip last night...

Edwin has a future in politics (and I mean that as a good thing!).

8. Why exactly are the police needed in this? Was justice not already meted out perfectly?
