1. Eerie, isn't it?
Not official with Michael yet, but he certainly seems the most likely candidate.

5. He was a tortured, tragic soul...
I feel sorry for McCain what with his giant tumor grown back too... does that make me a bad person?

Hate the sin, love the sinner... that's how I was raised. Sorry if that offends anyone.

I'm not looking forward to the super-fan reaction.
But I don't think the MSM will go overboard with praise.

8. I for one don't understand the Jackson hate
Yeah, he was a bit kooky. But he never molested any children. They couldn't even get him on it the second time around. In America people are innocent until proven guilty. And nothing was ever proven about Jackson other than he was eccentric and a bit off his rocker. He did dumb things, but he also created wonderful music. I'm not a huge fan of Michael Jackson's stuff but I have always been fascinated by this public bullying of an innocent man simply because he was different than everybody else.

For the record, I think Michael Jackson will live through this. The cardiac arrest happened a bit after noon and the reports do not mention him dying. If he doesn't live through it then I wish his family the best and I wish his soul the best. I think he was the epitome of misunderstood.

6. That 3 bit is crap. If it had any validity it would all happen on the same day.
Not during a short period of time.

7. I always thought it was 3 within the span of a week.
McMahon, Fawcett, and now possibly MJ all within a week.

11. There is no real rule of three, just people looking for order in random events.
If you point out that more than three people died in a given time, they'll discount the importance of some of them, or claim that some of them died "outside" whatever personal time frame they want to "count."

13. Worse than that the rule of everyone
Everyone dies. Don't know why famous people dying makes it realer for me. But it hurts when they are your age. Like a child kidnapped if it's the same age as my kid it makes it more immediate and emotional.
