Corporate Sponsored Change....
Whether its Healthcare, Carbon Reduction, Energy, or Banking Policy, we seem to have two choices:

1.) Keep the Status Quo (Republican Policy)

-or-

2.) Pass "reform" legislation pretty much crafted by lobbyists of the regulated industries.

Now, you might be one of those radical Leftists who want legislation crafted to benefit the majority of the nation's citizens. Well, forget it. All you are doing in playing right into the Republican's hands by killing all hope of reform with your ideological purity.

Indeed, you just might be Republican trolls using such Populist arguments. Well, are you? Can you prove you're not?

1. Half-Measures Will Fail
Edited on Sun Jun-28-09 03:08 PM by MannyGoldstein
Obama compromised on the size of the stimulus bill - and thus joblessness keeps increasing. One can argue that joblessness would have increased more rapidly if not for Obama's stimulus, but the far better argument could be made if the proper stimulus had been applied, and joblessness had been reduced. So now he has two black eyes: the appearance of a failed stimulus, and driving up the federal debt.

Likewise, half measures in health care will lead to failure.

As to people proving that they're *not* Republican trolls... I'll give $25 to your favorite charity if you can prove that you're not a Nazi Hell-Creature sent by Satan. Good luck.

P.S. - if you were just being sarcastic, I apologize for this screed.
