Crude Impact.
If you have access to LinkTV, I strongly urge you to watch this documentary.

Even as informed as we are here on DU, I have learned a number of things from this film in the first half hour. During the break, they interviewed Antonia Juhasz, author of The Bu$h Agenda: Invading the World, One Economy at a Time.

Her website is http://www.bushagenda.net/

I have to say it's amazing to actually watch television and see two people discussing how Dick Cheney and Halliburton funded death squads in Nigeria. On TV!

I'm appalled by the crimes that have been committed in the name of Americans. We are destroying the planet, folks. This documentary shows that damage. Long term. Like the toxic pits that dot the landscape of South American counties. Something like 30 Exon Valdez worth of chemicals in places where people depend upon that very area for their drinking water.

I also strongly suggest supporting Linktv. They host Amy Goodman's Democracy Now, every day.

2. LinkTV is awesome.

They are the only place that I kept donating to after I got laid off. It's worth it.

Democracy Now is on twice a day. Mosaic is very interesting, as you get Arab news from different countries. News from Britain, Australia...

AND they do the documentaries on farming, GM foods, big oil, and so many other important topics.

Wonderful channel.

4. I saw it!! I stayed up late into the night (Hubby wondered what I was doing)!
I was glued to the screen. Wonderful film; I'm buying the DVD now, and organizing a viewing party. It reinforces how we simply must become less dependent upon oil and decrease greenhouse gasses.

I'm glad I made some changes after viewing the Inconvenient Truth. I now go by the local Big Oil Gas Station, in my Prius, and give it the finger, so saluting the CEO of that particular oil co. We've changed the lightbulbs in the house, and recycle like crazy. We've cut our driving down to almost nothing. We're far from perfect, but being less dependent upon oil feels good.
