11. Actually, a Christian mystic
perhaps Hildegarde of Bingham--full text as I know it is:

When your Easter comes
I'll be all around you,
I'll be through and through you
I will steal your body
And win you to your love.

(It's a Dance of Universal Peace, with some lines repeated-a good one to Dance for Easter)

BTW, thanks for the PM!:)

8. Like Christmas, Easter is as much cultural as religious; you don't have to be

Christian to celebrate either one. (I celebrated them both all during my atheist decades.)

I'm not jingoistic, don't own a flag, but I can still enjoy fireworks and cook-outs on the Fourth of July. And you don't have to be Irish to celebrate St. Patrick's Day!

In the same vein, anyone can enjoy Christmas trees, gifts, candy canes, Easter baskets, chocolate bunnies, Peeps, dyeing eggs, etc. Especially anyone with kids, who love Easter egg hunts and all of the above. I know many Jewish people celebrate Christmas and Chanukah, one for cultural reasons, the other for religious ones.

There are plenty of things about some Christians that annoy the hell out of me but I never thought that was a reason to hate perfectly good holidays like Christmas or Easter! Nor do I understand why some Christians won't celebrate Hallowe'en because of its pagan origins. Ooh, pagan, wer'e supposed to be scared? :eyes:

Happy Easter to all, however you celebrate it! :hi:

(If you don't celebrate Easter at all, for religious or other reasons, I hope you have a very nice day tomorrow!)
