Wisconsin - Was US Attorney on the Chopping Block?
State GOP official pushed vote fraud issue

http://www.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=588156

The mystery is solved.

For weeks, it was unclear who whined to the White House last year that not enough voter fraud cases were being prosecuted in Milwaukee.

Now we know.

The state Republican Party went straight to the top in its efforts to make voter fraud an issue in Wisconsin.

Sources tell No Quarter that Rick Wiley, then the executive director of the state GOP, directed a staffer in 2005 to prepare a 30-page report on election abuses in Wisconsin so Wiley could pass it along to a top White House official.

That document, entitled "Fraud in Wisconsin 2004: A Timeline/Summary," turned up last week in the horde of White House and U.S. Justice Department records released by the House Judiciary Committee, which is investigating the firing of eight U.S. attorneys.

"The report was prepared for Karl Rove," said a source with knowledge of the situation. "Rick wanted it so he could give it to Karl Rove."

Yeah, that Karl Rove, President Bush's political mastermind and his deputy chief of staff.

The same guy who was knee-deep in helping decide which U.S. attorneys to keep or to boot.

3. Rove's scheme. Rove's strategy. Backed by the WH and OVP.
It is a calculated subversion of our political and judicial system. They all belong in jail. Now!

5. This one IS outraged. The whole scheme to build a 'permanent rePiglican
majority' by screaming about and trying to prosecute non-existent VOTER fraud in order to cover up their ELECTION fraud is the last fucking straw, as far as I'm concerned. :grr:

These fuckers were impeachable from the minute they took the oath of office they clearly had no intention of honoring (honor being a COMPLETELY unknown quality with this corrupt cabal) since they were NEVER ELECTED...

Prison is too good for them. Hell is too good for them.

PELOSI IN '07!

6. Dandy little scandal percolating across the border in Minn., too
www.startribune.com

new u.s. atty for minn. has already brewed up a storm of controversy. She's a loyal GOP campaigner and the youngest u.s. atty in the country. apparently, she's a dictator and no one can stand to work for her....

snip:

"In a surprising move, three top lawyers in the Minnesota U.S. Attorney's Office resigned their management positions Thursday and will return to prosecuting cases.

The resignations of the first assistant U.S. attorney, who is second in command, and the chiefs of both the criminal and civil divisions of the office, were communicated internally late Thursday afternoon, according to a source with direct knowledge of the events. The job changes followed a visit to the office by a representative from the Executive Office of the U.S. Attorney in Washington, D.C.

U.S. Sen. Charles E. Schumer, who chairs a Senate subcommittee on Administrative Oversight and the Courts, issued a harsh statement Friday after learning of the resignations"

9. Every damn State Democratic Party and the DNC better be putting together
a plan to use this in 2008!

Hopefully every incident can be documented in each state where there was abuse.
