WTF kind of twisted logic is Lieberman using?-The surge is working
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070408/ap_on_re_mi_ea/iraq
-snip-

In Washington, Sen. Joseph Lieberman (news, bio, voting record), an independent of Connecticut, said al-Sadr's words showed the American troop surge was working.

"He is not calling for a resurgence of sectarian conflict. He's striking a nationalist chord. We're going to have to watch him closely. He's not our friend. ... He's acknowledging that the surge is working," the senator, a strong backer of the war, said on CNN's "Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer."

4. We can only hope.
However, he won't be totally irrelevant until 2012. And, unfortunately, the media loves him.

7. Do you see how many republican seats are up for re-election in 2008
Not only will we win in the Senate in 2008, it will not be by 1 or 2 seat, but a CLEAR majority

and when that happens, lieberman is irrelevent

As far as 2012, connecticut deserves exactly what they got

8. "Connecticut deserves exactly what they got"...
Do you think they're unhappy? I'm thinking they aren't.

9. I don't really know, but I always thought Connecticut was a progressive state
and I also had the impression that Lieberman misrepresented his postion

You might be correct, but nationwide bush has a 70% disapproval, especially because of the Iraq war, and there is no difference between the bush administration and lieberman's position

5. Happy Easter, joe; 10 U.S. troops killed in Iraq
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18005279/

6 Canadians killed in Afghan blast
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18009802/

What do you call a nation that invades other sovereign nations who hadn't been doing a damn thing to anyone; a nation who tortures, who holds prisoners without charges, without lawyers, without trials?

AMERICA.

10. To a bushie like Traitor Joe, anything that happens is evidence that their plan
is working. I think it was Cheney a couple of years ago that said attacks on our troops were a good thing because it showed that the enemy was desperate.

12. This is stupid.
Not that I'd ever expect logic from Lieberman, but Jesus...

Al-Sadr is hoping that the surge wipes out his Sunni insurgent enemies, leaving him in a more powerful position. Hence his "cooperation" with the security operation. Anybody who doesn't understand that doesn't deserve to be commenting on Iraq.
