Kool-Aid drinking "conservative" whines about his party self-destructing...
Of course, it just never dawns on Ralphie here, that it's the very people he is touting that's CAUSING the destruction!

Like sharks in a pool of chum

I swear, it's no wonder the liberals dominate the news, entertainment and political worlds: Giving a group of conservative any kind of power or influence in any of those areas is like handing a winning lottery ticket to a toddler with a fascination for flushing things down the commode.
Either they respond like the Republican congress did, and take a clear mandate for their platform as a sign that they should immediately start acting exactly like the Democrats, or they promptly crumble into factions and turn on one another with a viciousness that the Dems can only envy from a safe distance.

Good sweet merciful crap, never have I seen people snatch defeat from the jaws of victory with such alacrity. The conservative internet community literally had the main stream media on the ropes, staggering from a continual rain of blows ranging from the Lewinsky story scoop to the CBS/Dan Rather forged documents scandal to the on-the-scene legwork of indie ironmen like Micheal Yon to the continually upward spiraling influence of the likes of Limbaugh, Coulter and Hannity.

And all of the sudden it all goes to hell on a sideways skid.

Instead of pounding the playground snot out of the leftists, everyone's decided to start gnawing on each other. We've got blogs like Hog On Ice and Dennis the Peasant wasting their time and energy sissy-bitching about Pajamas Media, which is (according to THEM anyway) floundering financially I wouldn't bloody know, all I know is that there have been schisms in the group, and the resultant DRAMA would make a furry fanboy convention weep with envy.

Anne Coulter (accurately) accuses a bunch of gold-bricking 9-11 media tramps of exploiting their husband's deaths, and says the word "faggot" in association with Edwards, king of the blow-dried poofters, and 90 percent of the conservatives online scream like cheerleaders, load their shorts, and run as fast as they can to denounce her---- why, if she gets associated with us, liberals might not like us anymore!

Not too coincidentally, one of the favorite gripes by the "Hog On Ice" author is that established conservative writers and celebs never give up-and-coming creative types-- like him-- any support or help. (I wonder if he means like the central idea of "Pajamas Media"... where, as I understand it, 'bigname' bloggers try to help small-fry bloggers out with links and feedback.) Gee, I wonder why. Could it be that they have no interest in sticking their hand in the piranha tank, or dealing with a bunch of self-important drama queens who're more interested in sitting around hissing "Splitter! splitterrrrrrrr!!!" than in actually DOING anything?

That's utter nonsense. Therein lies what's wrong with the right-wingers.

2. Yes, their hate and spitefulness is their undoing
Even Limbaugh influenced a victory in Missouri with his hateful remarks concerning Michael J Fox. The American people are waking up.

3. Typical Rethug nonsense
His frustration is plain. But he's so busy twisting the truth to fit his beliefs that he genuinely can't understand why it's all turned to shit on his party.

4. basically, they cannot accept that conservatism is a complete lie, a total fantasy
so when their leaders start doing what conservatives do, wasting money on handouts to the rich and handouts to corporations (espeically through wars) while deciding proudly not to spend any money to make the US a better place, they assume that the elected conservatives somehow "sold out" and are acting like liberals. And people like Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity keep them believing the lie.

5. There's a big difference between a conservative, and neo-conservative.
Conservatives are realists.

Neo-conservatives like Bush and Cheney, and the LJ writer are totally infatuated with their fantasy.
