"We'll leave when asked." (GW Bush) --"Get out! Get out, occupier!"Shiites Call for U.S. to Leave Iraq Posted by Mark Yanonne 09 Apr 2007 (AP)Tens of thousands of Shiites--a sea of women in black abayas and men waving Iraqi flags--rallied Monday to demand that U.S. forces leave their country. Some ripped apart American flags and tromped across a Stars and Stripes rug . . . And the head of al-Sadr's parliamentary bloc, Nassar al-Rubaie, blasted the U.S. presence as an affront to "the dignity of the Iraqi people. "After four years of occupation, we have hundreds of thousands of people dead and wounded."
The bushies are spinning this as a 'sign of democracy', that invading Iraq on false pretenses is working.
Would they be saying something similar if/when tens of thousands of Americans call for impeachment? or will they pooh-pooh it as partisan politics and the work of the fringe element?
18. We'll leave as soon as the right wing can blame the Democrats
for the withdrawal. When we have a Democratic commander and chief. That's the reason we're there now and that's why we're staying until January 21st 2009.
19. Right, Bush will keep the troops in as long as possible, so that the war....
becomes the problem of his successor. He is following the path of another terrorist, Ronald Raygun, who kept the hostages in Iran until his inauguration.
Reichwing maggots such as Bush and Reagan don't give a damn about the troops or any hostages --they're just election props. Polar Bear
21. Sorry, our bayonets keep the "Iraqi Government of the People"
in power. It's no different than when the French Government asked the Prussians to help them regain control of Paris and put down the Paris Commune, right after the Franco-Prussian War. Governments will always collude with each other to keep their populations as their slaves. Governments have more in common with each other than with their own people...
