How about Obama/Graham?
Bob Graham that is.

M ight take Florida out of play, gives the ticket some additional gravitas and the GOP can't win without Florida.

6. I am torn on Richardson
He would be the best credentialed VP ever and a huges gravitas leap forward from Cheney He would also conceivable help with the Hispanic vote in Swing states. At many levels he is a no-brainer

My concern is that it wouold be peceived as a minority-minority ticket and I am nt sure that is sellable. The other thing is that I think he wants to be Secretary of State.

It is my belief that the Nominees ought to nominate a Secretary of State and Attorney General during the convention as well. They are not elected and should not be...but knowing who the president is going to send up for confirmation for these two incredibly important roles says alot about a nominee's judicial philosophy and foreign policy objectives. It also forced them to select/nominate well qualified people rather than cronies.

The other cabinet members including DOD Secy are typically cronies but are basically managers of the president's policies and the mechanisms of government.

2. How about waiting 6 months or so before crowning a nominee and running buddy?
We have a good field of candidates and it is a little early to cut it down to just a couple, although I am sure that Clinton and Obama would like that. A lot can happen between now and when the first votes are cast next year.

5. I like Bob Graham. He knows more than most about foreign policy.

But then, I might just be a little bit biased.
