How much attention do elections in Japan, India, Argentina, or any other country, get from the U.S. media? How many Americans and American journalists even know who is in political office in other countries besides England, France, and Germany? Who can name the political leaders of Switzerland, Holland, Brazil, Japan, or even China?

Yet, many know of Iran’s President Ahmadinejad. The reason is obvious. He is daily demonized in the U.S. media.

With the help of Moussavi, the U.S. government is creating another “oppressed people,” like Iraqis under Saddam Hussein, who require American lives and money to liberate. Has Moussavi, the American candidate in the Iranian election who was roundly trounced, been chosen by Washington to become the American puppet ruler of Iran?

The great macho superpower is eager to restore its hegemony over the Iranian people, thus settling the score with the ayatollahs who overthrew American rule of Iran in 1978.

I'm still hearing overblown and bogus stories on NPR as well as MSM. What the heck is going on, I thought that truth and law would prevail over baloney and cupidity now that we're so differently changed?

At least we should have the common sense to not invade another country when we're so broke and in debt that probably no other countries will finance it.

Yes, he's against the war, but he's also published vile antisemitic AND Islamophobic crap, and written for the vile racist website vdare.com. I wouldn't trust him on anything much.

And he's been predicting war with Iran for years and it hasn't happened. If McCain had been elected, it might have (though with whose army, and what money?) but not with Obama.

And no one needs to 'delegitimize' Iran's elections; the consistently high percentages from all districts, including both those known to be for and those known to be against Ahmadinejad, delegitimize them already. At least some people who steal elections do so more subtly!

This is just the equivalent of pro-Bush people saying that anyone who questioned the validity of his election must be supporting the terra-ists!

and figure out why the media is staying focused on the Iranian election.

Did the US CIA not spend $400million to mess with this election?

And did not the CIA in 1950 help stage a coup to overthrow the elected government when they were moving to nationalize US and British oil operations?
