Once Backwards B girl was outed, no one wanted to be associated with her or her fears. People don't like to be seen as stupid or to be laughed at. Rachel Maddow is headed that way by pointing out how over the top the lies about the health care proposals are. She also has shown how the ultra rich (Koch Industries) have duped the tea baggers. Who wants to be a dupe?

Meeting violence with violence will only ratchet up the violence.

3. Send in the clowns.
I liked that suggestion from someone here.

If they want a circus, give them a circus.

Show every one just how ridiculous this entire town hall farce really is.

5. Obviously the teabaggers don't mind being dupes
I think they enjoy their corporate sponsorship, it makes them feel important and legitimate. Which of course, is the whole problem.

IMO we need to make the corporations the joke as well.

6. Something similar to the Billionaires for Bush approach would be great.
Dress up like insurance company CEOs, signs with names, and their compensation and comments about how they are being persecuted into covering "sick" people.

Health Insurance for the Healthy Only.

Insurance companies need healthy profits.

Thank you tea baggers for defending our profits.

10. Sure. With our 2 TV hosts, and 5 radio hosts, vs 10,000 or so wingers on the air
that'll work. Say good-bye to health care reform (and very other initiative Obama wants to enact).

14. I have no idea if anyone ever said this, but I've heard several

people claim that they've heard "Keep the government out of my Medicare!"

Now, this may actually have started as a tea bagger motto meaning keep the out of this, but when it gets quoted, it makes the Tea baggers look foolish (don't they know Medicare is a government program?) and points out how successful government health care has been!

That anecdote, whether true or apocryphal, is the kind of story we need to spread around.

16. Yep. Said at a town hall meeting.
I've been spreading it around as "Keep you damn filthy Government hands off my Medicare." as an ode to Planet of the Apes.

Since this incident, several here have recommended that each town hall is begun with:

"OK. Please raise you hand if you're on VA, Medicare or Medicaid."
"OK. Please lower you hand if you understand that those are Government health care programs."

20. I just saw an ad on CNN that specifically claimed that money will be taken from Medicare
To finance health care for all. That needed tests will not be available if everyone has insurance provided by the government.

I missed who paid for it, unfortunately. But lies like this are being touted as true in the ads on M$M and not just on the internet.

19. Absolutely...they ARE a joke. . .
Willful ignorance. . .drama queens to the max - the biggest whiners I've seen in my life, and yet without a clue about what they are whining about.

They hate socialism - yet violently defend a privitized "socialist" insurance/health care system which raises their premiums at will and restricts their coverage without regulation. They can't VOTE for anyone running their health care - most of them don't even get a CHOICE in insurance coverage, and they sign a nice piece of paper effectively letting the insurance company call all of the shots without the consumer having any real recourse. And what the hell is insurance anyway but a PRIVATIZED socialistic scheme based on charging all the "members" premiums and paying out to those who need it -- FOR PROFIT? What kind of business scheme is that, anyway?

Yes, we should all be laughing hysterically when they shout out to disrupt...hysterically. They don't have one clue what they are talking about - just hysteria and fear - the typical GOP crap.
