God hates fags ... God hates the sick and uninsured ... What's the difference?
I'll concede that not all of us here believe in the Christian faith. But for those of us that do, why don't we point out repeatedly that these evangelicals who oppose universal health care are a godless pro-death bunch? These guys who believe that God hates those with "preexisting" conditions who are too poor to afford care. They feel these people deserve to die so the false Christians are able to schedule an appointment the same day for the sniffles.

If these hypocrites are so pro-life as they allege, why did the Southern Baptist Convention oppose SCHIP, that not only guaranteed health care for all children, but also prenatal care for all pregnant women? The Southern Baptist Convention are today's Pharisees.

Why do these false Christians have such ungodly hatred directed at this unborn child who was told by his recently laid off mother's insurance company that he had a preexisting condition?

When I was 6 months pregnant with my first child, and on complete bedrest, I was laid off. I was unable to look for a new job, being so late into a very difficult pregnancy. My doctors that had worked with me on this high-risk pregnancy were not covered by my husband's insurance company. We decided to use COBRA for me so I could continue to see my doctors of choice. My severance ran out the day my son was born prematurely, with complications from having the umbilical cord around his neck during birth.

The first bill for his expenses came as I was leaving the hospital without my son. When a claim was denied because they said my son had a preexisting condition, that was the final straw.

Nothing like getting on the phone with an insurance company and getting straight that preexisting conditions do not apply before a child is actually born. I ended up a heap on the floor, exhausted from giving birth, taking care of my child, and the fear that we would go bankrupt from the bills. My husband said "Whatever it costs, we'll pay it, I just want them to take care of our son."

The bills were still coming 18 months later, when our tiny baby was a happy, healthy boy. It was around $20K total, even with insurance. When I hear people afraid of "health care rationing," I want to throttle them. May they never have to deal with an insurance company who wouldn't pay a $6,000 claim because they said your newborn son has a preexisting condition.

As Michael Steele would say, pro-life, my behind.

Why do these false Christians oppose a public option that will in all probability not have any premium money going to fund abortions? No, instead they rather keep their private plan that funds the killing of babies. Pro-life, my behind.

These "evangelicals" are false Christians who believe that God hates the sick and poor. These people are no different than the despicable nuts over at Westboro Baptist Church who believe God hates fags. These people are today's Pharisees.

According to the Bible, God will judge these people. Matthew 25:31-46 tells us that these false Christians will receive eternal judgment:

31"When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory. 32All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
34"Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'

37"Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'

40"The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'

41"Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.'

44"They also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?'

45"He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.'

46"Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life."

Perhaps, it will also do the false Christians good to read Matthew 9:12.

12On hearing this, Jesus said, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.

It will do these false Christians good to actually follow God's commandments in the Bible, rather than storing up eternal judgment for themselves by following a Jezebel who slanders and disrespects her governmental authority by attacking her President as evil for doing good, even though she has abandoned her own state and failed to raise her daughters with good morals, all for selfish ambition.

1. As I've pointed out before, you are apparently thinking of the outdated Christianity. The new
Christianity features a Jesus who says that those who are doing well, are doing well because they have been chosen. They are not bound by any rules except one--to keep themselves in a position of superiority over the lowly losers who Jesus so clearly has relegated to that position.

C'mon, haven't you heard about TheFamily's new and improved Jesus?

Of course, the mass majority of those who think they are part of the chosen gang are to be eventually relegated to the loser class as those in power transfer all privilege, wealth, and power to the smallest possible group of which they are members. By the time those "left behind" by the Jesus elite figure that out, it will be too late.

9. Here's what boggles my mind.
It's not just that they're taking liberties with Jesus's message, they're twisting it exactly 180 degrees. They're not saying "Jesus would be pro-life", attributing something to him he never said, they're actually saying Jesus wants you to be wealthy, which is the direct opposite of what he said. I understand that some scripture is open to interpretation and that different groups try to attribute their own beliefs to Christ, but to subvert the message so completely is amazing. Even more amazing is that people will go along with, though I suppose never underestimate the gullibility of someone being told what they want to hear.

Honestly, the first time I heard about Prosperity Gospel, I did not believe it was true. It seems ludicrous on the surface. But I did some research and found not only does it exist, it's actually quite popular.

What the fuck is wrong with people?

10. Heinous as it is, it actually does explain a lot about these so-called Christians who are some of
the most un-Christlike creatures to ever walk the earth.

3. Where is this church?
The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'

I would join today if I could find it.

4. And when you try to reason with them, they just can't understand.
They've been brainwashed to believe that Capitalism is Christianity. Seriously. They really seem to think that Jesus was a robber baron or something, and when you try to point out how crazy that it, their eyes go blank, and you can see that they just can't get it. It takes them walking in the shoes of the uninsured or just plain broke before they can personally start questioning it, and even then, they often can't go against years of conditioning.

I went to a conservative Christian college, and I constantly ran up against this crazy version of Christianity. You really can't reach them. Believe me, I've tried.

5. I've said it time and time over
These newfangled pseudo-christians are exactly the selfservative, self-righteous sort who will turn their nose up at you all day, then that night they'll trespass into your back yard, steal the sheets off your clothesline and the wood off the side of your shed, then go over to someone else's yard they don't know and burn a cross with the stolen wood and beat them with a Bible they don't read.

Feh, and a pox on their house. Why haven't the majority of us told that bellowing, whining, bitching minority to put a cork in it, yet?

Rec'd.

8. Evidently also hates
fangs.

(from the tv show True Blood opening credits - sorry, don't really have anything constructive to add other than anyone who claims to know what "God" hates is a liar - it's impossible to know that - and for some reason, I just don't see "God" as a big time hater.. lol)
