Obama has lost me!
His favorite Chicago cupcake is Sweet Mandy B's - He has even indoctronated Joe Biden with this sub-par cupcake as seen in Exhibit A:

The best Cupcake in Chicago is Molly's in Lincoln Park - just blocks away from Sweet Mandy B's, but a world away in terms of moist cake and tasty frosting. Sweet Mandy B's does not even have adequite seating for those who want to enjoy their treat before going home!

He has lost my vote for 2012! Does anyone know where Kucinich stands on this important issue?

( :sarcasm: )

3. I love Dennis - He was always my first choice.
Isn't he vegan? I know a good place for a vegan cupcake too ;)

8. What he eats is not my concern. I like what he stands for.
Ironically he IS the left in power. Not the far-left, not the center-left. He is the left.

11. I had a vegan birthday cake over the weekend.

Not horrible. Not fantastic.

I wouldn't kick it to the curb but it could have been better. I think the frosting was marzipan based so it had some interesting consistancy and a sweet taste with a hint of almond.

I'll stick with lite Cheesecake.

6. Dennis doesn't eat sweets/cupcakes
Not the traditional kind anyway, he's vegan but he does like Coconut Dream ice cream.

So that more than likely puts him in the, 'NO' on cupcakes, issue. But he would never deny you your right to the cupcake of your choice.

7. "Sweet Mandy B's does not even have adequite seating for those who want to enjoy their treat..."
if their cupcakes are so crappy- why would they need any more seating...?

kind of reminds me of an old woody allen routine about two women at a catskills resort:

"the food here is awful."
"i know- and such small portions..."

19. The only good commercial cupcakes are Hostess.
If these "Chicago cupcakes" were any good, they'd be in every store in the nation. At a reasonable price. At a bakery thrift store at an even MORE reasonable price.

No, I can't afford your expensive dripping sarcasm icon, and in fact, what I have to say is relevant. The only things made in the United States seem to be "custom goods." The Tesla electric sports car that you have to be a CEO or a drug dealer to afford, while everyday citizens have to deal with the rustbuckets produced by GM. Dog food made with poisonous melamine from China, while "organic" dog food is beyond the reach of ordinary people. About the only thing made in America that ordinary people can afford is the Swing-A-Way can opener, and I'm sure somebody's going to give me bad news about THAT one any day now.

Good products, mass-produced, available to all, is what made American business thrive. Why can't we do that any more?
