Dear xxxx,
Urge your Senators to vote yes on S.5., the Stem Cell Enhancement Act of 2007;a vote for saving lives and a rejection of the politics of the anti-abortion movement that advocates saving cells instead of people.

The House version of this bill passed during the first 100 hours of this Congress. Now it is time for the Senate to stand up in support of research that has the potential to save countless people suffering with life threatening diseases, including cancer, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's.

The Senate bill would significantly expand research into possible cures by using embryonic stem cells that were originally created for fertility treatment. Individuals seeking such treatment would have the option of donating the embryos they do not need. These embryos are usually destroyed by fertility clinics.

Tell your Senators to vote yes on S.5; a vote for saving lives and a rejection of the politics of the cynical anti-abortion movement that ignores the suffering of real people.

For Equality,

Eleanor Smeal
President

3. MAKE CERTAIN YOU SUPPORT S5, not "stem cell research."
Also being debated is a "warm-fuzzy" SCR bill designed for a dandy W photo-op. StemPAC explains the difference here:

Make certain you tell your Sens you support S 5. I won't even mention the number of the other Senate bill so as not to cause any confusion.

K&R--please, DU, give me hope!

Thank you.

4. Kicking for hope. Please, DU, this is important on so many levels.
Advancement of science, abortion rights, separation of church and state.

It touches us all, I guarantee (me far more than others, I have taken insulin for 40 years).

Please--and recommend this thread, too. Please.

8. I can tell you now one will, one won't
Claire will, knuckle dragger bond will make speeches against it and keep on catering to his ever diminishing base of lemmings.
