That was her word, not mine. Doen't she know they are not allowed this 'convienence' by law?

It most certainly is not in their discression. They are required by law to archive material that effects (and in this case infects) the nation.

12. Sorry. The government doesn't make it convenient for it's citizens
We pay our taxes, we are forced to drive at pre-set limits, not allowed to smoke our pot, etc...so you really won't mind if we say we really don't give a fuck if following the rules inconveniences you, will you?
