That would definitely lock in The Base.

1. I thought the correct spelling was "Duh Base" . . .
But, of course, I could be wrong.

2. I rate Palin's chances for the GOP nomination as extremely poor.
She has neither Romney's money nor Huckabee's charm and no organization to speak of.

4. she has a shot -- she does have money and an organization
Edited on Thu Aug-27-09 09:29 AM by cap
her facebook page has 450,000 supporters. And she can sit around and take pot shots for the next 3 years.

But, I think what will sink her will be that people will want substance even in the GOP and Palin aint got substance. She will overshoot her mouth. Think about how drama queens usually fail.... For a while, they reign supreme and then they just hit the wrong person or thing. And then everyone sees what they really are. Also, there will be a lot of GOP candidates trying to sink her.

6. Yes, her GOP opponents for the nomination. While I expect her to
make a go for it, I think she has wildly underestimated the ferocious assault she will face from her Republican colleagues.

I don't think she is competitive now and even less competitive in the year prior to the Iowa caucus.

11. She is competitive right now because none of the leading Republican candidates
will disavow her... they all get a bit embarassed and try to sit in a weird middle ground where they aren't calling her out as being a whack job and they aren't endorsing what she says, no matter how foolish she is.

8. Romney will pick her apart with her resignation after 2.5 years. It'll be a funny Rethug primary.

Romney and Palin will destroy each other in that primary.
