It’s hard to believe that the 9-12 Taxpayer March on Washington is less than 3 weeks away.

We expect a flood of conservative, limited government activists to take part in this historic event as we march together down Pennsylvania Ave. (the same route President Obama took during his inauguration!) to the west lawn of the Capitol Building to declare an end to Obama’s big government agenda.

The response we have had from limited government advocates like you has been overwhelming; unlike anything I have ever seen in over 25 years of watching the national political debate unfold.

But that hasn’t slowed down the Left’s multi-million dollar political machine and I need your help…

Last week Robert Reich, Bill Clinton’s Labor Secretary and outspoken liberal commentator, called on liberal activists to converge on Washington, DC on September 13th to fight in favor of Obama’s government takeover of health care. It’s no coincidence he picked the day after our event to try and organize his – Reich, allied with the likes of MoveOn.org, the AFL-CIO, and the other usual suspects on the Left, are trying to overshadow and drown-out our event and its limited government message.

And with a war chest that some are estimating is in excess of $150 million; we have to take their threat very seriously. The only way we will be able to win is through real grassroots. We need more people taking part in 9-12 and we need to ensure a successful event.

Obviously a very big part of that is getting people to come. I hope that you can make it on September the 12th and be a part of history. I also ask that you make others aware of the event and urge them to attend. You know that after the Left’s “call to action” to deliver its liberal base to Washington, the media will be keeping score and noting the conservative limited government presence on September 12th vs. the liberals’ turnout on the next day. The good news is that the Left’s dirty money can’t beat good old fashioned grassroots - let’s overwhelm them, sending a message loud and clear to Obama and the liberal establishment, by having at least twice the crowd on 9-12 that they will have the following day.

But we also need to make sure that we have a quality event; one that attendees will enjoy and get a lot out of, but that the media will take note of as well.

FreedomWorks has been fortunate to receive generous donations from folks like you from all around the country that are helping us to cover basic costs for the event. This has enabled us to secure a stage, microphones, speakers, and other audio equipment. We are off to a great start, but we still have a little ways to go.

There are fundamental things we need to have like more portable restrooms to accommodate a crowd like we are expecting and they cost $185 a piece. And every foot of barricade that I still need for the march and rally costs $45.

In addition, we want to have a giant video screen at the event that will magnify the images of speakers for the entire crowd and further reinforce our rally as a top-tier event, raising its profile in the media. Unfortunately, obtaining a screen like this is very costly. Due to restrictions at the Capitol grounds, it has to be brought in by hand in 10 sections, each onecosting $1,000.

I know these items are expensive, but if you can help me cover some of the costs I know we can have a bigger event than the Left and prevent them from overshadowing and dismissing our event.

All this month, Obama, Pelosi, and a host of others on the liberal Left have been saying you aren’t real. They’re saying that your voice doesn’t count and that you will not be heard. At the 9-12 Taxpayer March on Washington we have an opportunity to show them just how wrong they are – please help with whatever you can today.
