Lizard Cheney - what a harridan!
There is no earthly reason that she should be on the roundtable on ABC - all she's doing is trying to cover her dad's ass....an ass that's not worth covering!

It was good for old Sam to challenge her - it should have gone farther as he brought up the rape charge and Liz lost her mind.

1. Her Dad was just on FOX..
covering his own ass. I guess this is "cover Dick Cheney's ass" week on the TV talk shows?

8. Dick & the Dick-ette
I don't know that I'll be able to stomach snarling Dick on Fox today - I can't stand Chris Wallace and I sure as hell hate Cheney.

Maybe I'll clean the bathroom instead.

7. Actually the Cheney family business is Cheney and all that pertains to Cheney
If you look closely you'll see that everyone in the Cheney household really only has one career. It's the Dick himself.

He's made them millions, maybe even billions, through war profiteering over the years. I guess they don't have enough yet.

12. The cheney family are hoping there is any of that money left after the dust settles
my hope is there won't be, that the people, lawyers, whom he likes to do his bidding will clean him and them out, lock stock and barrel.

5. She's quite the surrogate and dutiful daughter
I forced myself to watch this round table and am glad I did. I always change the channel when I see her on the tv. But today she's served as inspiration to fight them all the harder.

I liked how Sam Donaldson laughed in her face and Dionne refuted her desperate attempts to skew the facts.

It's doubtful that I'll ever watch her again. But I came away thinking that The Daily Show could have a field day with her antics of today.

11. She is so rude.
Don't conservatives have any manners? She talked right through Stephanopolous' introduction of the next segment as Ifill gestured frantically for her to shut up. Ludicrous behavior from an awful person.

how not to get distracted when others interrupt her...she repeats the first word of her thought over and over and over - as her voice gets louder until she has the floor again.

16. No, they don't have any manners. They strive not to.
Edited on Sun Aug-30-09 11:29 AM by Hansel
The Democrats should confront this fact every time they interrupt them. The Democrats willingness to let their rudeness go unchallenged has been the biggest mistake they have made over the years.

Democrats need to call Republicans out when they behave like children and be more forcefully indignant when they say outrageous things. Especially when they make cheap shot political attacks on Democrats behind their back while they smile to their faces. That will do more to right the discourse in this country than anything else.

The best thing Democrats could in the name of Senator Kennedy's passing is to carry forth the ideals that he lived by and demand that elected officials act like statesmen. I think I heard Senator Kerry already doing that this morning.

19. This is really getting annoying.
Malkin was allowed to spew without interruption on This Week a couple of weeks ago. Last week Orrin Hatch was allowed to spew without interruption on MTP and when Dr. Dean tried to correct his lies, Gregory went to another question. The week before that, Dick Armey did the same thing to Rachel but instead of letting Rachel respond, Gregory went to commercial.

These RWers talk over other people, won't shut up to allow others to speak, won't shut up when the program moderator asks them to. Since the moderators, in this case George and Gregory, won't do their jobs, the Dems. need to speak up. How about saying "You've had your time, now it's my turn." Or, "Mind your manners and let me answer you." Or even more direct, "David, can't you control your guest?" Or stomp off the set.

This shit has to stop.

13. WTF was she doing at a table with people who have been journalists for decades?
Edited on Sun Aug-30-09 10:30 AM by Cyrano
Everyone at that roundtable has been a journalist (TV or print) for many years.

Where does ABC, or Stephanopolis, or whoever made the decision, get off giving a seat at the table to this non-entity? What's her claim to fame? That her father is America's "Torturer-in-Chief?"

Last month, Michelle Malkin got to peddle her poison on "This Week." Now Liz Cheney was given a platform from which to spew out her propaganda, lies, and to show off her complete and utter ignorance about anything and everything.

I hate to be repetitive, but WTF.

28. Michelle Malkin, that's the one.
I wouldn't watch that. Couldn't believe Malkin was sitting there. This is a disgusting pattern. It's hard to decide if just the GOP has a mole on the booking staff at ABC or if it's just business as usual with the corporate media.

Gawd.

true spawn of Devil Darth and his equally abhorrent wife.
She is clearly an interested party ... why is she given any credence whatsoever?
Plus she does nothing but lie.

20. Why does Liz Cheney hate America?
Clear proof of how deeply confused people are is that they don't see how little these EconomicRoyals really care for anyone but their own. Their contempt is obvious to the point of being palpable and Liz Cheney is a perfect example of it.

25. I agree
Who cares what Liz Cheney thinks? Doesn't she have a bit of a conflict of interest in participating in this debate?

I was initially glad to see that Stephanapoulos was actually having a panel that wasn't stacked 3 to 1 in favor of the cons... but w/ Liz Cheney talking over every one it was hard to tell a difference...
