A Baseball Team Named The Winguts
Source: Wichita Eagle

Dustan Mohr is playing football again.

Yes, he's a professional baseball player — an outfielder for the Wingnuts — but he loves football. Part of the loose atmosphere first-year manager Kevin Hooper has brought to the team is allowing players to throw around the pigskin before games.

Mohr can often be found in the outfield grass, tossing passes to teammate Greg Porter, a former Texas A&M tight end and Mohr's roommate on the road

(Personal note: I think it kinda of funny that there is an actual baseball team called the Wingnut)

3. it is WingNUTS and they are GOOD and I have tickets to see them in the playoffs
they are a minor independent league

they play at Lawrence Dumont Stadium which also hosts the NBC world series

don't knock our team

and incase you are wondering...Wichita is the "air capital of the World" because we have Boeing, Spirit, Hawker Beechcraft, Cessna and Lear JEt airplane factories

that is where the Wingnuts got their name
