Watching VP Biden at the Little League World Series
He ran right out there after California's team won it all and congratulated each kid! He looks like the official team grandpa! Even the announcer made the remark "That says something about a politician who stays around til the end". It was a nice end to a very sad few days.

2. He really is!
He was just as excited as they were, like they were his kids. I'm sure it'll be on the news tonight or maybe Keith will show it tomorrow on Countdown.

So refreshing after what we had before...

3. I am proud that he was my senator for a few years ;)
I can even forgive his "banking" votes. My current senators vote for the auto companies because our state relies so heavily on them, just as Delaware relies on banking. With my rambling now out of the way. i admire the warmth and genuine humanity of Biden.

7. I only caught the last inning of the game
and it was great! The evening news said Biden was inducted into the Little League Hall of Fame, so that's why he was there. They showed a clip of the ceremony that took place before the game and he was going down the line, wishing each kid luck.

9. If cheney was there, he would have scared the crap out of the kids
Edited on Sun Aug-30-09 06:25 PM by Bluzmann57
He scares the crap out of most of the rest of us, so why not the kids? Congrats to the California youngsters for their win and also congrats to the kids from Taipei.

13. I'm not sure
I'll bet ESPN will have footage. Trying to find it online, but it doesn't look like they've got video yet. Here's an article:

15. He's a brave man.
I'm from Williamsport and it's part of the Alabama section of Pennsylvania. They have a very active Tea Bagger Party in the area. They held a rally yesterday at Brandon Park and the paper said 2800 people showed up. There was not much sympathy for them holding this rally during the World Series week. This week was for 12 year olds, not their political tantrums.
