A not-so modest proposal
If the Democrats are unable to pass meaningful healthcare reform that includes a robust public option, I think that at the next round of townhalls we should demand that congress drop its publicly funded healthcare and fend for themselves in the private insurance market, just like the rest of them. If I can't have the public option, why the hell should they?

1. For that to work we'd have to start electing middle to low incom reps.
maybe now is a good time to push for public financing of elections.
