Emailed George Noorey C2C RE:His Political Bias. He answered Back
I wrote George Noorey an email tonight. I use to love listening to Art Bell. He is not for everybody, but I enjoyed his paranormal topics and most of all, Art stayed away from politics most the time. Well, George Noorey lately has had callers call in and talk about how Obama is the anti Christ, socialism, death panels, and so on.Noorey never seems to stop them or ask callers to keep politics to themselves.Well, George once in a while lets his political bias sneak out but a couple times over the past month he has had a continuing contributor call in for reports on current events. His political contributor? Alex Jones. He also has Jerome Corsi on as a "Political insider".

Here is my email to him. I kept it short and to the point:

George:

Love the show but lately have had a problem with some of your guests.I wish you would dump your bias right wing guests and get qualified non bias experts (Alex Jones? Really George? Is this the best you can do? Jerome Corsi? Two hate mongers with a political Agenda and YOU are giving them a soap box) Would you have Michael Moore on your show? How about Bill Maher or Sean Penn or George Clooney? Would you have Keith Olberman or Arriana Huffington like you have Corsi and Alex Jones? No, you would not because your audience would not tolerate it.I like your show because I can get away from politics. So, when I hear some of your right wing guests and some callers calling in throwing political commentary in before asking a question I get angry and forget why I am listening to your show.I think you should announce on the show to PLEASE keep political opinions to yourself and do not muddy up the show politics.I do feel at times your political bias creeps into the show and I have in the past turned off the radio during an interesting show. I have been a long time subscriber to After Dark and I am a premium subscriber and love what you do. I just wish you and some of your callers would understand that 50% of your listeners feel just the opposite about your politics and it offends them when you allow listeners to go off on a rant. Thanks for listening.

Here is what he sent me back:

"we dont do political shows I shy away from that...ART interviewed Libertarians...that's political....
We interview news guests on specific/real subjects."

I sent him this:

George:

Many thanks for getting back to me. I never said your shows were political but your guests you have on clearly are,the two I mentioned are a good example.I hope you shy away from it in the future because I don't think you do currently. I really do enjoy the show and you as host and I have never had a reason to write to you before.I'm just passing on a friendly observation. Many thanks for giving it attention.

So, here is what I just got back and biy, am I pissed!

"All of them speak the truth whether I like what they say or not"

LOL! Corsi and Jones, truth tellers. LOVE IT!

If anyone listens or wishes to send George a personal note, feel free:

george@coasttocoastam.com

I really hate how the RW is pushing THEIR politics down the throats of people and when we object they deny any bias and basically tell us to deal with it.Argh! Sorry, had to vent

2. I remember that: the call in lines for the Anti-Christ
And some guy in a truck called in. Sounded like Jeff Foxworthy.

12. Might have been a friend of mine.
I worked the graveyard on a dedicated run, and there were a few of us that ran together, every night of the week. Now this was before satellite radio, and we used to religiously listen to CtoC when Art Bell was at the helm, and comment on the show and the nutcase callers all the time to each other on the CB radio. It sure made the night go by quickly.

Anyhoo and how, one friend of mine was a amateur radio operator and had talked to Art once or twice before off the air on his ham radio, and Art told him he would get him on the air if he could. If it was truly insane, rambling, and illogical that sound like my buddy spoofing.

Max was from North Carolina, so it just may have been him. I'll have to ask him next time I bump into him on the radio, back at his yard (my drop yard is a mile down the road from his).

7. I Have recieved about 4 emails tonight
from who I am assuming is George. He is signing them George, but weird he is answering so fast.He claims he is not polical yet has all these RW political guests on like Corsi and Jones.Email him now. He or someone is answering emails and they are pretty quick. George Did defend Van Jones last night and I was shocked. He has also mentioned Beck and O'Reilly as sources to news stories he has reported on.He did a show not long ago where he had a guy on who can predict to the future(no joke) The USA was going to be the next Nazi Germany, Obama was the son of the beast,2012 will come under the Democrats rule of power and all this crap. The callers calling in were terrified and actually were buying this crap. So, when George Says he shy's away from politics and does not have it on his show he is a bold face lair.

6. The last time I listened to George Noory
was when that Popular Science issue came out with the 9/11 whitewash written by Ben Chertoff, cousin of Bush Crime Family ghoul Michael "of the Devil" Chertoff. George gave that piece of shit, and his piece of shit article the entire show, and never once questioned Chertoff's bias in defending his cousin and his buddies.

That pretty much told me what side Noory was on. Not to mention that the program airs here on the same AM station that carries all the other right wing bullshit and (at least then) on the same XM channel that had Glenn BecKKK's program.

8. Even Art Bell blew it. Big time.
Up until 2000, Bell was promoting this right-wing "Christian" theocrat named Gary North, who was convinced the "Y2K Bug" would destroy our civilization, so North was selling (at inflated prices, natch,) survivalist stuff like canned foods.

After 2000 and nothing happened, a lot of people feel cheated, both mentally by North's calls to panic, and financially by spending tons of $$$ on North's stuff.

Art Bell says , "Hey, I just put him on the air, that's all..."\

George Noory is just pandering to the "Obama iz out ta git me!" paranoid fringe.

9. Art
HATED George Bush and said so on his show. He also hated both Clinton's but praised Al Gore and is a big Global Warming advocate. He even tried to get Gore on as a guest. He is also pro gay marriage so I will cut Art some slack. Noorey, who covers the days news on his first hour of his show NEVER mentioned Ted Kennedy's death. Not even a simple quick mention of it. He mentions every Obama conspiracy and did two days last week about Obama addressing school children and did an hour of his show questioning his Muslim faith and the "Fact" he was not a US citizen (George's words not mine). Keep in mind he says this all while saying he shy's away from politics.

10. Maybe the grays told him to have wingers on.
I can't believe anybody's seriously worrying about the political bent of a show that's full of obvious nonsense. Anybody who actually forms their opinion based on something they hear on Coast to Coast is a lost cause anyhow.

11. Thank you for saying something...
I notice that he blows with the wind and tends to have right wingnuts on ALOT. I like the show but HATE the crap he pushes with Jerome Corsi and his ilk and he never asks anything that comes close to critical. There is NEVER any counterbalance of any sort.

14. He emailed me
saying Corsi and Jones are two men who love their country and are true patriots and how he wishes I could go one on one with them. I told him to balance his show and have Michael Moore on to show he is fair. His following email never mentioned or acknowledged my request.I then sent him another asking he have Bill Moyers or Gore Vidal on. No mention.I finally wanted to know who it was I was talking to because I knew it wasn't George. He was replying to my emails seconds after I would hit send and I can not believe he was bored and had no other emails to answer. He replied saying he was the man himself George and to prove it he would mention our talks briefly on his show last night. Well, I am a premium member so I listen to shows often the next day. Last nights show is not up yet but I will listen later this morning to hear what he says.

Saying Corsi and Jones are honest credible men says a lot about George. I simply asked him to counter balance and have a liberal political contributor. I asked if thought there were any liberal listeners and again, no mention of this.I plan on emailing his Sunday host George Knapp (who I really like) and Ian Punnet as well as Art Bell just for some feedback.

18. K&R to UNDO the UnReKKK!1 & exactly WHY *would* there be an UnReKKK on this topic?!1
But back to the topic. Welcome to the club, Romantico. I did the same thing back when NOORY took over and started hosting CORSI regularly and got about the same response to him, but slightly angry and defensive as I recall.

I leave the radio on all night for the frequent wake-ups, and I disagree that he does a good job. Many, many shows are incredibly boring. He's no Art BELL.

23. UTUSN
My emails were defensive. This is why I did not think it was really Noorey talking to me but perhaps an assistant.I just listened to hour one where he talks about the days news and hot topics. He did not mention anything about our email exchange like he said he would. If Noorey feels HE MUST have the likes of Alex Jones and Jerome Corsi on I wish he would counter their opinions and views with someone from the left.Noorey avoiding that when I asked and mentioned it tells me has no interest or desire to do so.I have heard him talk about a news story and often say he heard on Fox News this or he heard Chris Wallace or Brit Hume talk about this or that.I encourage others here who listen to George or C2C to email him. I am sure you will get a response back and you can see how terrible he is at making his case or justifying his right wing bias on a show that should not be political. One thing is clear and that is he would rather have conservatives only listening to the show but if liberals DO listen, don't pester him. I heard on another forum that a caller called in to ask a guest a question but before he did he went on a 30 second rant about liberals. The poster said the caller's rant was uncalled for and had nothing to do with the guest or topic at hand.Just a quick rant on HIS POLITICAL VIEWS and George Noorey allowed him to do it without cutting him off or saying anything afterwords. Later, a caller called in to ask the same guest a question and objected to the previous callers political rant and started to share some of their views as well. George cut the caller off and hung up on him and said what he told me. This is not a show about politics and he shy's away from that. Every night almost I hear some caller call in and trash Obama or liberals and George allows it.So, I may even start going after the station that broadcasts his show and the advertisers and simply ask him to knock it off. Love the topics and most of his guests. Its just sad that George allows selective politics to get in the way of him doing a decent show.

19. Sure wish they would go back to talking about UFOs, ghosts, and Bigfoot
Pretty sad when discussion of those topics is more rational than the current Republican party line.

21. I can't stand Noorey
A few years ago, he did a story on yet another Christian "expedition" to find the remains of Noah's Ark on Mt. Ararat in Turkey.

Noorey said, "Can you imagine if they actually found the Ark? Won't atheists feel silly?."

I stopped listening to him at that point.

22. There is no reality check for this show. Why are you bothered?
The topics covered on this show are all fantasy. What can you expect in political discourse from a show that discusses UFO abductions as if they were real?
